Bananaman

In 1983 a new superhero appeared on British television screens. Whenever I mention it to my Canadian friends, very few of them ever seem to believe that there was a superhero whose secret superpower was (if you'll forgive the pun) utterly bananas.

Big

Watching Big these days is a hilarious and wonderful, yet sorrowful experience, because I know that I'll never be able to watch the same movie that I did when I was as a kid.

Teenage Mutant Censored Turtles

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is one of my all-time favourite franchises and it was a huge part of my childhood. But we in the UK had a slightly different version of the 1987 cartoon that aired in the US and Canada. And we called it 'Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles'.

Jurassic Park

Jurassic Park was easily one of the defining moments of my childhood, and not just because I loved dinosaurs. It was one of the best movie experiences of that era and a magical spectacle in every way that mattered.
