Powers: A new Playstation original series

Sony's Playstation division is following in the footsteps of companies like Netflix and producing their own original series; Powers.

Powers is based on a comic book series created by Brian Michael Bendis and has a host of stars, including District 9's Sharlto Copley, comedian and actor Eddie Izzard and Star Trek: The Next Generation/Battlestar Galactica's Michelle Forbes.

Fair warning everybody; [I’m] not a happy ending guy.

After the success of the first season of Heroes, I'm looking forward to another original comic-based series, and this one sounds like it's going to be a lot darker. It follows a homicide detective who has since lost his super powers, and shows people with superhuman abilities at their absolute worst. It will be interesting to see how the show turns out, especially given its dark nature (which is what's drawing me to it most), but dammit past-me - why did you have to go out and buy an Xbox instead of a Playstation?!

Check out the video below for behind the scenes footage and interviews, giving a more rounded view of what we can expect from the show.

Powers debuts on March 10th on the Playstation Network.
